NEW for ISTH 2021! We will offer three (3) different types of ePosters. Each accepted ePoster author will be notified of which ePoster type they have been selected for in their abstract notification letter.
-
Live ePoster: A live ePoster will feature the author live in a Zoom type format where attendees will be able to join to discuss the poster, as if we were live at the congress. The author will produce an ePoster for this. The ePoster will then be divided into slides, (one per section) and will be automatically pre-uploaded to the virtual room by MULTILEARNING. Each author will then be able to use the ePoster to discuss and talk with attendees. Since this is a live presentation of the ePoster, there is a designated time when these will take place.
-
Slide ePoster: A slide ePoster is where the author will prepare up to five (5) slides and prepare a 5-minute recording to discuss the abstract; in addition, the author will produce an ePoster. The author will not need to be available during the congress, the recording will be posted online for attendees to access and watch at their convenience.
-
ePoster + Audio Narration: A ePoster will be developed using the below guidelines. Each author is strongly encouraged to add audio narration to each ePoster section, during the final review step. To learn more about this feature, see this demo: ePoster with audio narration on sections & embedded video and a tutorial on how to record your audio narration per section here (PDF) or here (YouTube). All ePosters will be available on-demand on the ISTH 2021 Virtual Congress platform.
Publishing via ISTH Academy
As an added-value service, all presenters who upload their ePoster via the MULTIEPOSTER platform will have their poster added to the ISTH Academy. By having your ePoster included in the ISTH Academy it will prolong the ePoster session experience and increase the visibility of your work for long after the meeting has finished.
Please Be Advised
Upload your ePoster file ahead of the deadline if you need to coordinate the audio recording in a timely manner.
Poster Upload Instructions
-
Poster Size: Your ePoster should be formatted in PowerPoint or PDF as a landscape/horizontal slide that is 16:9 ratio, NOT 4:3. Presenting in 4:3 format may cause your presentation to be distorted. (There is no file size limit)
-
Do not password protect the file
-
Only upload one (1) slide only or 1 page PDF
ePoster Format:
-
Please make sure you include your new abstract number that you have received in your abstract notification on your ePoster.
-
QR codes are not permitted on posters.
-
Choose one of our pre-designed templates (optional).
-
Format of the ePoster is landscape/horizontal.
-
Place a heading that runs the full width of the ePoster at the top in a large-sized type.
-
The text should be no less than 8 mm (22 point font) and preferably larger.
-
Use a constant font throughout the ePoster.
-
Use a black and bold type to ensure legibility and let your important points stand out.
-
We suggest that you show the preferred sequence in which your ePoster should be reviewed; this can be done by using 3 5 columns so the eye movement is down the columns.
-
Highlight your main findings. Dont hide your conclusions, consider putting them at the top of the right column or alternatively start with the Conclusions. Otherwise, we suggest that you structure your ePoster by Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusions. State your aims in the end of the introduction.
-
The figures and tables should cover approximately 50% of the ePoster area.
Other Recommendations:
-
If possible, avoid abbreviations and acronyms, especially in the Conclusion section.
-
Seek simplicity, keep text to a minimum and avoid redundancies.
-
Feel free to provide one or more key references.

No. -
If I submit before the deadline but then need to re-upload with new edits, am I able to do so?

Can audio files be uploaded?
No. The audio must be recorded online in order to be directly uploaded in the correct format on the correct section. -
When can I add audio narration?
After you submit your ePoster file, we will process it to an electronic poster. This can take a few hours to a few days depending on the volume we receive. You will receive an email once the audio narration is ready to be recorded.
