In-Person Cancellation FAQs

ISTH 2021 Conversion or Cancellation Options

The ISTH will reach out to all in-person registrants by April 3, 2021, with their options to convert or cancel their registrations. If you have not received an e-mail by this date, please contact the ISTH Registration Team: [email protected]

Due to the decision to transition to a fully virtual event, those who already have registered for the in-person component of the Congress can choose one of the following options:

  1. Convert their registration to a Virtual Meeting registration and be refunded the difference between their original (in-person) registration and their new registration type

  2. Cancel their registration entirely and receive a full refund

For those that select to convert their in-person registration to virtual registration: Please be aware the registration fee is different for each type, and it is related to on-demand access time. You can find details on the prices for each of the virtual options here. See the options below:

  1. Live +4: Registrants at this level will receive live virtual access to all meetings content and four (4) additional days of on-demand access to recorded content (July 17- July 25)

  2. Live +30 days On-Demand: Registrants at this level will receive live virtual access to all meetings content and thirty (30) additional days of on-demand access to recorded content (July 17- August 20)

  3. Live +90 days On-Demand: Registrants at this level will receive live virtual access to all meetings content and ninety (90) additional days of on-demand access to recorded content (July 17- October 19)

Cancellation or Conversion Fees?

The ISTH will apply no fees if the in-person registrants opts to cancel or convert their registration.

 

Credit Card Payments

If you have made your registration payment via credit card, the ISTH will process your refund with 14 days of receiving your decision to cancel or convert your registration.

Wire Payments

If you have made your registration payment via wire payment once the ISTH has received your decision to cancel or convert your registration, we will reach out to you to request bank information to refund the payment.

 

Registration for Future Congresses

The ISTH does not offer the option to hold this registration payment and convert it to a registration for a future Congress.

CME Credits

CME credits are being offered for the Virtual Congress. If you have chosen to convert to a virtual registration type, your payment for CME credits will automatically switch to this registration. If you have chosen to cancel, you will receive a full refund for your CME Credit Payment.

Networking Evening

If you have registered and made payment for the Networking Evening you will receive a full refund for this payment whether you convert or cancel your registration.

Hotel Bookings

If you have already booked a hotel in Philadelphia, we would strongly urge you to contact the hotel to cancel your booking immediately.  The responsibility to cancel this booking remains with the person who has made the booking directly with the hotel.
